Being a board member at the state level showed my commitment to the nursing field beyond bedside experience. It highlighted my dedication to professional development and advocacy.

3. Where You Work Matters

Not all ICUs are created equal. Working at a Level I trauma hospital can carry more weight than experience in a community hospital. When I interviewed in Pennsylvania, they already knew about Grady Memorial Hospital and its reputation. As the saying goes, "You work at Grady, you can work anywhere!"
